Sierra Tequila Reposado is an original Mexican tequila. Sierra Tequila Reposado is made from the heart of the blue agave species “Tequilana Weber”, which belongs to the cactus family. The blue agaves grow on the high plateau around the “Destileria Sierra” in Atotonilco El Alto at an altitude of over 2,000 meters. The valuable blue agaves only mature and can be harvested after 8-10 years. To harvest the centerpieces, remove the prickly leaves from the agave plant. The heart pieces, which now look like a pineapple, are distilled twice in copper kettles (alambiques) using old traditional methods. Only the distillate of this special agave species, which grows in a precisely defined area in the province of Jalisco, is allowed to carry the designation “Tequila”, and the production takes place according to strict rules of the Mexican government. Sierra Tequila Reposado is a noble, golden, particularly soft and mild tequila that has been aged on barrels for at least 3 months
